Participant Information

At AME Roundup 2027, posters featuring the latest economic geoscience and related research will be on display for all four days of the conference, allowing more time for these beneficial and in-depth conversations.

Scientific poster presentations provide a valuable opportunity for researchers to display recently completed work or works in progress, gaining feedback on their in-depth research. For the audience, it is a unique chance to engage specialist researchers in a conversation about their work and dig deeper into complex, applied subjects.

Bachelors, Masters, and Doctoral students are eligible for AME Roundup Student Poster Prizes. Prize amounts: $600 for first prize, $400 for second prize and $200 for third prize.

In addition to AME’s student poster prizes, Women Geoscientists in Canada (WGC) will be sponsoring two additional $500 awards at Roundup 2027:

  • Women and Diverse Voices Award ($500): Recognizes an outstanding student poster presented by an individual who self-identifies as a woman, gender-diverse, or otherwise underrepresented in geosciences. The award will be judged based on scientific merit, quality and presentation.
  • Emerging Voices in Geoscience Award ($500): Open to all student poster participants, this award recognizes research that brings distinctive or underrepresented perspectives to geosciences.
