Data science is a practical tool in exploration that, used effectively, provides new insights and supports discovery. For exploration geologists, the challenge is combining multiple data sets: legacy and newly acquired, state-of-the-art and decades-old, spanning different data types.
This course covers how to manage workflows and integrate new data science approaches for maximum value, bringing together the old and the new. Participants take part in a hands-on activity showing how to make their data work harder for more effective exploration. Valuable for anyone facing the challenge of working effectively with widely divergent data sets.
